Happy December!

First and foremost, I hope you and your loved ones had a very, very special Thanksgiving!

We are still in the season that focuses on GRATITUDE where today, I wanted to take a minute to talk about how GRATITUDE and our HEALTH relate!

Wouldn’t you agree when you are experiencing pain, whether body aches, inflammation, headache, joint pain, allergies, digestive sensitivities, etc. it’s almost as if your whole body is off.  When you don’t feel well, it totally interrupts your life, right??!

Whatever state your health is in right now, it’s important to remember that 

How you view your circumstances and self has SO MUCH to do with GRATITUDE and the outcome! 

Psychology Today says that “Studies show that we can deliberately cultivate gratitude, and can increase our well-being and happiness by doing so…” 

By having gratitude when we face difficult health conditions can immensely change the depth of the pain.

Focus on small, baby steps you can start to take that will eliminate stress, build your immune system, alleviate pain, and truly allow you to LIVE AGAIN!  Becoming more mindful  and turning your focus on thankfulness with a positive outlook, you’re slowly changing your future.  Focus on the goodness in your life.

Start by completing this really simple exercise:  Every morning, write down 5 things you are grateful for with your health.

Even if you deal with chronic issues/pain/digestive sensitivities, you can focus your gratitude like food is fuel and “I am thankful I am learning the proper way to heal my symptoms by fuel alone.”  

Or, if you have anxiety, you can learn breathing techniques that will help relieve you of the emotions.  So, write down “I am thankful for knowing how to control my anxiety by deep breathing 3 times when I start to become anxious.”
