YOU are Mighty!
Often times, in the midst of this beautiful thing called LIFE —-> when overwhelm, confusion, or fear enter in, WE often lose sight of ourselves. It’s almost as if WE get swallowed up in the middle of the mess.
Think about a time (or maybe this is present tense for you) that seemed SO incredibly IMPOSSIBLE. You literally had no idea how the resource was going to be provided or how the answer was going to show up. As you look back, now you can see that everything fell into place right where it needed to be.
But, in the very middle of it all, we look up from the valley and all we can see is how tall this mountain is. I mean, this mountain is GIANT, you can even see a snow peak up top! Because this mountain is in our view-you can’t go around it so the only way is up-you start to doubt that this “problem” will be fixed simply because you see no other solution than to go UP, but HOW?
When we look at the true meaning of “living by faith,” it literally boils down to having total confidence in God’s provision, and letting go of the HOW. It’s not easy! By our human nature, we aren’t able to understand HOW things can move or change. But, this is where the beauty lies—it’s not up to us. We think it is. We think we need the answer. We think we need to know.
Picture being in the valley again and looking up at this mountain. You’re going to look for a solution, for a way out, for help, you may even start shouting for rescue. But the true way out, is to remember YOU ARE MIGHTY because you have His strength, His words, His promises.
It’s easy to read a verse and not recognize the power in the words. But, when you read and believe it for what it says, God’s already given us the way out!
As this verse reads in James 1:6, “But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind,” —YOU MUST BELIEVE AND NOT DOUBT!
Without feeling what you believe in, the words will just be words. But, in the midst of the next mountain that needs moving, YOU MUST TRULY BELIEVE WITHOUT DOUBT!!! It will move 🙂
