That looks a lot like our normal morning routines, huh?! Wake Up, Shower, start to get ready, (get the kids ready OR sometimes your significant other too!), then you’re like….time to eat? WHAT?? There’s NO time for that today!
You’ve heard the buzz….breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Not only does it help stabilize your blood sugar, but it also helps to keep you feeling full & satisfied and kicks your morning off in the right direction.
Because we are so busy, let’s chat about a simple way to get your grub on. This requires less than one, uno, (1) hour to prep your breakfast for the week. For real?! And, yes, you can find ONE hour to make these scrumptious protein packed yummy dishes! Plus, they are made with less than 4 ingredients, EACH!
Here goes.
For the egg dish above, here’s what you need:
1 carton egg whites
1 cup frozen spinach
however much cheese you want to taste (I add vegan cheese to mine, either GOVeggie or Rice Cheese)
3 strips of Turkey Bacon, sliced up (even tastes good without this)
Salt & Pepper
For the Oatmeal Bake above, here’s what you need:
2- 2 1/2 cups dry oatmeal
1 carton blueberries
1/3 cup coconut flakes
cinnamon
however much water, per your consistency choice (less water if you want it more like a muffin texture)
Use cooking spray (Coconut adds some kick to it!) to coat your pans then pour the ingredients in. Bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes.
Done. Easy. Comes out looking amazing.
You’ll be glad you baked ahead of time! All you need to do is put it in a bowl, heat it up, and breakfast is served.
How easy and How delicious!
P.S. I like to switch up my oatmeal bake with different flavors so you might also try: bananas (mashed) with cinnamon, or sliced figs with blueberries and cinnamon, or coconut flakes and strawberries. They all turn out AMAZING!
